Our Classrooms
Children are grouped based on their age to participate in activities and learning materials suitable for their developmental stage. Each classroom is equipped with designated areas for various activities such as dramatic play, science, math, building, art, music and movement, manipulatives, reading, and dining. The lesson plans in all the center classrooms are developed and executed using the Creative Curriculum and adhering to the PA Learning Standards. MCC employs Teaching Strategies Gold, Ages and Stages, and Ages and Stages Social Emotional for assessing child development.

Outdoor & Indoor Gross Motor Time
One of the strengths of the Center is being a part of the Allegheny campus which provides lots of paths and green space for our children to play. The center is located at the north end of campus in the south end of the old Odd Fellows building.
Playyard
The play yard is located directly outside of the center and provides a safe and fun environment for the children to play, run, and engage their imagination while strengthening their muscles.
Covered Play Porch
The younger toddlers have room to play and move on the covered play-porch located off the main hallway of the center.
Allegheny Playground
In the summer, the preschool children are able to take advantage of the playground located on campus.
Allegheny Campus and Surrounding Areas
The preschoolers and school age students are able to walk around and explore areas around the campus. There is also a park located across the street that the children can walk to with their teachers.
