Love, Learn, Grow

Located on the Allegheny College Campus, Meadville Children’s Center is a licensed, non-profit child development center that provides quality care for children from six weeks to 12 years old.

We believe in building for the future by stimulating the development of young children through age-appropriate, individualized care in a warm, loving environment.

Infant/Toddler Care

Children aged 6 weeks to 36 months are nurtured in age-appropriate rooms, where they learn sign language, develop self-help skills, and engage in play, art, and social activities.

Preschool / Pre-K + Care

This program promotes independence, self-regulation, and self-help skills through interactive activities, fostering verbal, written, and motor skill development among children.

School Age Care

The school-aged program provides a relaxing space for children after school, fostering continued learning based on their chosen themes. Transportation to MCC is free for students from select Meadville City Schools.

Building Since 1994

The center was founded in 1994 with a start-up grant from Allegheny College to partially fund the project, and space in the Jewish Community Center on Park Avenue.

Since initially opening (with just two children enrolled), the center moved to its current facility in the Odd Fellows Building on North Main Street. In April 2000, the center changed its name to Meadville Children’s Center (MCC) to better reflect the service to the community. The center has grown to serve more than 75 children.
